Wednesday December 1st was a scenario based night.
Crews responded to a MVC involving a pinned person with an arterial bleed and 2 trapped persons inside with spinal injuries, head trauma and a pelvic fracture.
Crews had to size up the scene and prioritize the rescue order of the trapped persons in the scenario and provide appropriate medical care of the injuries until EMS was available. Crews also had to trouble shoot when EMS was assigned another call and was not available to transport the time critical patient.
Realistic training like this helps the crew understand real world challenges and helps build efficiency and proficiency in complicated technical rescues.
