The Mattawa Fire Department conducted low-angle rope rescue training this week. Worked on further developing our 4:1 haul kit pulley system. This system is designed to haul a rescue litter and victim up low/medium angles in order to serve areas of the community where limited access exist (river banks, mountain sides, highway ditches, etc.). This week the crew trained on long distance pulls down a 200ft. long incline.
