Members of the Mattawa Fire Dept. conducted auto extraction training on 27 October 2021.
The scenario was a frontal collision with entrapment, with an occupant presenting with a spinal injury.
This required crews to extricate the patient straight back from the crew compartment. Members removed all 4 doors, and the roof to gain the necessary space to conduct the rescue.
